I don't think they should censor music or dialogue on TV. Like on primetime TV and cable shows you always sometimes hear them censoring cuss words. And I'm like that's stupid. Just freaking say it. And radio stations shouldn't censor or slience the cuss word part of the song.

Um, what if somebody doesn't want to hear them, then? There should be "uncensored versions" for those who want to hear them.

For the "uncensored radio stations" part, would you listen to them on front of little children?

There's no such thing as bad words, ffs.
Only if you give them bad connotations.

I favor the business choosing what music they play, and then people can let that influence where they shop. I'd rather let the prudes self-segregate.

Also, I probably feel as much distaste when I hear religious pop music as others feel when they hear cussin'. I won't patronize such business if I can avoid it.

Further, I haven't heard it since moving to the West coast, but they loved religious and jingoistic music in Texas.

Exactly. Words only have the power people give them. The only reason why people get offended by words is because they want to be.

There's a bit more to it. Cuss words activate parts of the brain that other words do not, and have been shown to reduce pain. People have a good reason to cuss when they get hurt. If we normalize all the cuss words, we will invent new replacements.

Why does it matter if little kids hear bad words? They are gonna learn about them and say them one way or another. Do you expect the world to bow down to your irrational moral standards? Unless you grew up in an amish village you are going to be exposed to this stuff no matter what. Sheltering your kids just makes them want to rebel against you.

No one's right to free speech should end where your feelings begin. f**k your feelings.

It makes no sense. How EXACTLY does using swear words and nothing else actually help reduce pain and activate certain parts of the brain? Please, explain that. :?

The Fergie song London Bridge when it was played on the radio would start out with "oh snap, oh snap, oh snap, oh snap". For a long time, I thought those were the actual lyrics to the song. Didn't know that it was a censored version of a song that said "oh s**t".

The way things appear to make sense is what we need math for. I can't explain it, but there it is.

Lady Gaga made the chorus of Poker Face sound like "pa- pa- pa- poker face, pa- pa- poker face," but in reality it was "pa- pa- pa- poker face, pa- pa- F**K HER FACE". Even after it became common knowledge it still gets played uncensored on radio!

Onto when rude lyrics get lost in translation. I once stumbled across a video of a gymnastics competition in Taiwan where one of the girls did a routine...

...to the tune of Short D**k Man by 20 Fingers. Obviously whoever was in charge of the music didn't cotton onto what Gillette was singing about. Bear in mind the girl was about TWELVE...

Anyway, if nobody wants to say vulgarities, then they don't have to. Just thought I'd like to say that, that's all. :|

Yet, if you were to energetically vent or express these terms in an informal way, it would have to tirelessly outshine every other rude censor in the book of bad censoring stats. I wish some grown men would adopt a quieter new approach to improving their sexual fetish vocabulary, instead of by using crude definitions. It Spoils the essence of the moment.

^Um, the whole point for censoring foul language for certain people is because they are still so sensitive to them.

Nowadays, however, it's seems like many people don't care anymore, so they like to use them freely in "new media".

People f*****g swear. Don't like it? Too bad. It's the world we live in. And like I said, whenever they censor things it's usually pretty obvious what's being said anyway, so that makes it pointless. Worse, it can actually make swearing more obvious.

Are you always that rude? -_-

It's not typical for me, but this is a subject that I am intensely opinionated about.
