Mine must be the oldest on the list. I'm 42, but I tend to admire people quite a bit older than myself. Roger Bannister is interesting to me because he is a man of varied interests. I hope that, when I'm in my 70s, I continue to be interested in life and the world around me as he is.

You're probably kidding, but I actually do tend to be attracted to that type. Before they're dead, I mean. God save me. :?

Although, you know, this conversation topic has always struck me as uniquely NT. I have always felt uncomfortable going out with large groups of women, because--among other reasons--the conversation inevitably turns to the objectification and evaluation of the handsomeness of certain guys, especially actors. That isn't so bad, I suppose, even if it does make me uncomfortable. But then they start talking about specific anatomical portions of these fellow human beings... and personally I think that's crossing the border of respecting the dignity of others and is also most likely venturing into lustful territory (which I suppose doesn't concern the average Jill here, so this might sound weird... but understand that as a Catholic it is a very important line to me). Apart from morality, there's something that has always struck me as not very nice about this activity, although I do not wish to offend anybody here. It's why I left the popular crowd in high school.

I dont like to object people either. I'm non religous and for me its women. It looks like both sides of the religious and gender continuum can agree on something.

I'm very glad to hear that. Even before I was religious I felt the same way on this issue, and it's comforting to know I'm not a complete oddball.

Way too many good looking women to pick just one so a better idea would be to pick
a man since I do not find very many attractive.

I put usually put looks at the bottom of the list in what I will look for in a partner. I will look for intelligence and personality, when I look for a girlfriend/wife (common law or married, which ever one works for us.) I especially want someone who likes children and animals. Anyways looks are fleeting, and they can only be considered a bonus. Not anything to weigh in upon.

Awww.... you're just making me all hopeful for humanity!

To an extent that is how I feel as well.

Besides, I can't ever weigh the attractiveness of people anyhow. Most people are very beautiful in one way or another, to me. The only exception would be if I am dating someone (or married, obviously), he becomes then my standard for beauty and is the handsomest man in the world, to whom no one can compare.

As the saying goes beauty is in the eye of the beholder. All is relative none is truth.

I am not even remotely Catholic, however I have always scrupled at lusting at people, as I have always thought of it as an intrusion into their psychic space. Somewhere the information filtered down to me that 'lust in the heart is as good as lust in the body' and that made sense to me.
