Go in the bushes... In my first apartment, I knew someone who had to ask a neighbor to use their bathroom for at least a month because the maintenance people at that place were so slow.
I grew up in the boonies and doing it in the bushes never bothered me.
This thread reminds me of this story my dad who was a long haul truck driver used to tell. In the 70's or 80's maybe 90's, there was a trucker's strike where the owners of the truckers' union decided to make the truckers pay to use the toilets in the trucker's stops. This went "well". They went in the bathroom, but not exactly in the toilet. The cleanup crew had to clean human urine and feces off of every surface except the toilets. The truckers' union people decided they didn't have to pay anymore.
Wait, they had like a lock on the toilet? You had to put money in for the seat to unlock? I was thinking the restroom door was locked and you had to put change in to unlock it.
I'm not sure how it all worked out. I'm thinking they probably had to put a quarter in the door look to open it. They just didn't like the idea of having to pay to do a basic human right and protested by urinating and defecating on the floors, counter-tops, sinks and pretty much everywhere but the John.
