Like I said, if the Russians and Chinese made some serious charges pertaining to the United States faking the Moon landing----then I might entertain the possibility.

If you really think about it, it's a ridiculous notion. I am sure there were people back then investigating NASA. I am sure at least some of those people were skeptical about the space program. Nothing was found that would indicate a "hoax."

Many journalists were actually against the administration of Richard Nixon---and would have loved for there to have been a proven "faked" Moon landing.

It is probably not easy to find what all the Russia and China said 50 years ago.
Or to know who was investigating NASA back then or what they found.
But it has been doubted by many from the beginning and quite a lot of evidence has been presented to show it was a hoax, so it is not airtight. Not even an unmanned rover has visited any of the landing sites in all this time.

All right. Believe what you want to believe.

But....I find it would have been much harder to fake the Moon landing----than it was to actually land the Lunar Module on the Moon.

The reason we haven't been to the Moon since----is money. And the emphasis on keeping men living in space stations orbiting the Earth for years.

Journalists are snoopy, nosy people at heart; if there was a hoax---trust me, they would have found it, and reported on it.

Pravda was the main Russian paper in the Soviet years. Look up Pravda from the 1960s-1970s. It was a propaganda organ---but it was openly published.

I do not necessarily believe it. But I think there is room for at least a tad of skepticism and a good enough platform to play devil's advocate.

You have the right to believe nobody landed on the Moon.....just like I have to right to believe Neil Armstrong and people up to Apollo 17 (except for Apollo 13) landed on the Moon.

I can't stop you. It's your prerogative.

I just feel there's no way a hoax could have been perpetrated. It's just not possible.

Russia spoke with one voice back then, as did China, because they were both monolithic totalitarian dictatorships. Neither country had large numbers of independent media outlets doing their own opinion-editorial things (the way that the US, then ,and now, has). So "keeping track" of "all what was said in China or Russia" isn't hard to do. There isn't much to keep track of. Both regimes would simply trot out their respective "party lines". Russia claimed that "we weren't really racing you guys", which is what we would have said had they beaten us to the moon. But Russia never claimed that our landing was a hoax.

But I think that you are right that lunatic fringers were questioning it from the get-go.

I remember watching the moon landing with my cousins when I was a teen. And remember the grown ups in the room(aunt, uncle, parents) all ribbing each other about how "the whole thing was filmed in a backlot of a Hollywood studio. Harhardiharhar". They were all joking of course. But I am sure that there were sanity impaired folks who were thinking the same thought at that moment, but not laughing.

Folks who believe that the moon landing was a hoax also tend to believe in the reality of "the Philadelphia Experiment": the U.S. Navy destroyer ship that was supposedly made to jump back and forth in time during while docked in Philadelphia during WWII.

So..we are both LESS advanced than the powers at be claim we are (we couldn't really go to the Moon), and are MORE advanced than they claim (we were able to make 2000 ton ship travel in time way back in 1942). they are concealing contradictory things from us! We can do more than they claim we can. But cant do as much stuff as they claim we can!! !! !

But back in the Forties Nazi Germany DID set up a base on the far side of the Moon.

It's pretty clear that people *have* been to the moon, because there are actual reviews on Yahoo, and they don't let people post fake reviews there.

I was one of those 12 people on Yahoo who did travel to the moon. I can proof it with a video, its up to everybody to believe it or not believe it. Exactly 3 years ago, in the year 207 after-Darwin i set my feet on the moon. Taxpayers dont have to be afraid, i didnt use a extreme amount of money to achieve my goal.
