No.

I see beauty in industrial & electrical power grid things that others overlook as eyesores.

A close friend on the spectrum sees beauty in hand crafted things, where imperfections are features, not flaws. His influence has taught me to appreciate the “human touch,” of artisanal craftsmanship over and above that of mass produced automated manufactured goods.

Some things I quite like because they’re different and hand made with love, others I may still find ugly and not my particular style. To each their own.

Sucks you couldn’t bid on that train engine - why didn’t you creat your own account or ask someone Else besides your brother? :?

A tiny lowly cobweb, overhead at the juncture of the wall and the ceiling of your apartment, can be quite lovely to behold...when it contains the carcasses of several bedbugs that the spider has killed for you. :D

despite the fact that a brown recluse almost killed my dad, if i see a cobweb with occupant, i will leave it alone as long as it is not in my face.

I used to have an account but within the first few transactions I was defrauded by one person so I had sent him the item and give him the money back so I paid for the postage twice to do that, and I gave up, and a few months later I had my Paypal account hacked into and someone in Africa who has connections via Switzerland hacked into my account and gave me debts during a time that I had gone through months without an income. Ebay, Paypal and my bank sorted it out. I had a stern telling off by my bank manager who said "No one should link their bank accounts to another online account (Paypal). Since then (About ten years ago) my Paypal account has ben locked unless I link it to my bank account so I can't access my money in there (Not that I have much in there) and it cost me a lot in phonecalls over what was around an 18 hour period with a very patient lady with Ebay to close my Ebay account... As I happened to owe 10p, so it would not let me close the account, and attempts she made to close it did not work as there is a set limit on the minimum amount one can pay in a transaction which is a pound (100p)... She was soo patient. She had worked all those hours in a single shift and her manager had paid the 10p to close the account, as they could not find another way to do it.

None of the issues I had were Paypal or Ebays fault, but I have been frightened to do any transactions for anything online so I don't. If I can't do payments over the phone or send a cheque I do not buy anything.

And in the recent few months I have had messages saying that someone has hacked into my google account and accessed playstore (I did not know I had such accounts as one of my brothers may have set them up to get my tablet to work? And they have also hacked into my old email account which I forgot my password to as my brother set this up and made up a password etc. But the tablet still works so that is fine.

I do not know what to do about this as I do not even know the username and m brother can't remember either.
And then I found messages saying my normal email account has been hacked into which I had already but when my brother wanted to use it with my tablet, it had to be a new email account as it has to be in a form for tablets to use? (I can access it ok)... But the good thing is that because of the Ebay incident in the past, I have kept right away from all trading via the internet.

So the basic principle for online safety is to never ever do any financial transactions on the internet.

I see.

Times have changed. Online transactions are very common and typically very secure. I've never had an account hacked - but I have been defrauded a couple of times, and those situations were rectified by fraud protection policies on the cards I used. I've bought tons of things online.. dozens and dozens of gifts, sporting goods, clothing etc.

There are also online services that encrypt your card information & generate "fake," temporary card numbers for you to use. That way you can buy things, sign up for free trials etc, and then cancel the "fake," card numbers that you manage in your own card number generating account before anyone can possibly charge anything to it. If they try, they can't get anything because after you made your purchase or signed up for your free trial, you already deleted it so it's no longer any good to anyone.

I haven't used a service like that, I've just heard the online news personality guy David Pakman advertise it in his videos. The company he promotes is called http://www.privacy.com and apparently you can sign up for a FREE account there and create up to 10 digital cards/month to keep your real card numbers & info completely private so you never have to enter them on a site you're buying something from.

Personally, I have a knack for noticing those (often overlooked) things e.g., sometimes of things beauty, sometimes things of value, sometimes things...... worth noting.

In short, beauty is in the eye of the beholder!

smellovision you might have to improvise yourself, but the 10.2 sound system would supplant your existing stereo which you could replace to your bedroom.

Dear Auntblabby , you said nothing about having to improvise . Thought you already had a connection for smellovision, believe a Doctor Farnsworth had originally devised that devise ...... :D

Adult Cartoon Series “ Futurama” had a character , the built a devise that purpose was to act as a smellovision devise. Was more like a smelloscope for smelling distant Planets. :D
