Yes, I would!

How would they deal with a life sentence if you got nabbed for a terrible crime? That could be bad.

Who is to say we don't, in a manner of speaking?

True, a wiseman said "It is worse to be forgotten then die. For it is a death all it's own."

If it's like the Highlander, no aging with the option to opt out of life by beheading, sure.

But if I have to grow older and older, till I am nothing more then a being who lives but not move, no.

HELL NO.

Mortality is one of the things that makes life precious... I've lived and died enough times to know this well. This is an area where I don't think most people really understand what they're wishing for...

Good fortune,

Ah yes totally, I have always dreamed of living forever to watch humanity progress. That is one of the main topics I fantasize about all the time, the future of humanity and what we are capable of. The progression of society and technology. The possibilities and deviations into the future are endless and beyond imagination, and exhilarating to think about. That's why I love sci-fi so much.

I admit I have almost lost faith with humanity before, but never have. We have great potential, our strong emotional drive and intelligence will push us to great heights. (kind of ironic that an alien is saying these things about those feeble humans eh?)

Living forever in this world would be a curse. Death in its proper time is sweet release.

It was my childhood dream to live forever! I wouldn't say no to an offer like this today either. I don't mind the idea of living a life that is eternal, because I would finally have enough time on my hands to study, to research all these interesting things, languages and cultures. I'd read whole libraries, because I love to learn more so much. It was also my dream, the main reason why I thought living forever was my heart wish, that I would try to discover the world's secrets and solve all the riddles that still exist nowadays and cannot be figured out right now.

I was very much obsessed with this idea when I was a small kid. I admit I'm not entirely free of this thought even today, about 15 years later. It's still in the back of my mind, this longing to know everything that has ever come into existence.

Pretty silly, huh?

Good then we can get a buddist monk, a catholic priest, an orthdox rabbi, and an evagelical preacher to kick your sorry @$$ out of whichever place you're haunting.

Schmuck!

I'd love to live forever. I'd like to see what technology would be like, 400 years from now. 8)

I would hate living forever, because then I'd see all my friends, pets, and family die.
What a lonely and miserable existence it would be sort of like being richardbenson, only forever
