It crossed my mind sometimes, but I can't seem to get my s--t together to try it, also with having IBS I'm afraid it would upset my digestive system. I don't think I could handle Vegan though.

If there's a possibility of me looking like one of The Kinks again, I'm all for it.

This week grocery shopping I decided to buy some real butter. I hardly ever buy the real kind, it's usually just the I Can't Believe It's Not Butter. I know it's insanely bad for you but the world is so full of crap I wanted to put it on my popcorn as a special treat to cheer myself up a little. Anyway, it took me a while to find real butter because it was behind the "plant butter".

I've seen vegan margarine, but I've never heard of "plant butter" before. Are there plants that give milk? Do they milk the plants to make the butter? Maybe it's like the Cow Plant in The Sims. Sounds pretty dangerous, actually.

Thanks to these questions I now have a craving to try almond milk ricotta.
Whose side of this question are you on?

I haven't had almond milk ricotta but I've had almond milk yogurt and it wasn't the best. I've also had vegan cheese that was made out of potato starch and some kind of oil and that too was not the best, in addition to not being very nutritionally healthy.

I'm not vegan so I eat dairy, and I much prefer real yogurt and real cheese.

I've been a lacto-ovo vegetarian for about 40 years. In recent years I've been cooking quite a lot of vegan meals but I haven't developed a taste for vegan cheeses or milks.

Ive been vegan for about 30 years.

I have a real problem with the concept of consuming other animals.

I wont event touch mushrooms due to the fact that mycelium is closer to being an animal than a plant.

This is made much easier by the fact I am diagnosed with ARFID mainly due to sensory issues. I only eat 2 food items - nutritionally balanced dry food bars and a limited variety of dry crackers. Nothing else.

I dislike food and view it as fuel. I find being near other people when they are eating and most of the things that they eat repulsive.

I realise that I am part of a very small minority of course and that few people would tolerate living like this.

Ive lived like this for years and am considered healthy for my age. I am slightly underweight but not to the extent that it concerns my doctor.

I wouldnt want to live any other way.

I don't feel like my body could function without meat.
I do a lot of hard, physical labour on the farm, and vegetarian dishes, while good and tasty, don't go the distance.
I run out of energy too quickly.
If I have a meat/protein based breakfast, I can work all day.
Plant based protein is a poor substitute for animal protein.
When meat is cheap and plentiful, I could eat it for every meal, in fact I have done so at times and felt the best I've ever felt in my life.
Luckily, I love the taste too.

No. I'm not exactly a big meat eater but I enjoy a wide variety of fresh food in my diet. I would eat anything as long as I'm not allergic to it. I love cooking and trying different things. And I am grateful that my family would eat anything that's edible. I don't think too much about calories or nutrition when I cook. I just make what I like. I figured whatever I like to eat must be what my body needs. :) Right now I need to eat nutrient-dense food all the time due to heavy periods. And women need a lot more iron than men do. It's not easy to get all those iron from beans.

I tried, but failed for health reasons very quickly.

I also failed to get enough calories without meat and do better with a protein rich fat rich diet. I have a number of problems with food including allergies as well (plants).

first consider it a 16 , was talked out of it by my older brother and Mother . only wish had started some eating much less beef , years ago .. But have to admit , have been borderline anemic ,most of my life . Some large input of dense proteins seemed to help me . but am much more likely towards fake meat these days. Sorry but my fish stays in my diet . Much less preparation to make a lovely piece of fish. And if you get it right .. just a few spices ,Very very delicious .....And must pay attn to freshness and the appearance and cut of the fish.

I eat very little meat, but I'm just plain not organised enough to cut it out entirely. When I'm stressed, confused, ravenous and out of time (which is most days) I grab whatever I can find that vaguely resembles a meal.

You gotta do , what you gotta do..! Sourcing quality food , in a food desert area , can be hard. .
but can pay dividends down the line as your body ages. . .

I have been a lacto-ovo vegetarian for about 28 years. I only eat eggs a couple times a month, and the dairy is only in the form of cheese or homemade yogurt, which I eat daily.
