Oops, forgot several members of the cast of SeaQuest DSV, who used to shop at the Barnes & Noble I worked at. Carey Lowell, Roy Scheider, Peter DeLuise... uhm... the hot black guy.... We caught the blond kid with a magazine under his jacket, but since he realized he had been noticed and dumped the mag before leaving the store, nobody did anything about it.
Also sold an astronomy book to Cary Elwes (the Dread Pirate Roberts!) once, years before he got doughy. One of the other booksellers got his autograph for his wife. He was totally adorkable and soft-spoken.
Hmm, other bookstore meetings: Robin Quivers, Bruce Feiler, Alan Dean Foster, Robert James Waller (who was just as much of a smarmy douchebag as you would expect from his crappy self-worshipping novels)
This was 10 years ago or so, I was only 10 and didn't know who Clint Eastwood was, but I say it still counts...
BTW Quatermass, love your avatar - Dylan Moran's awesome!
Thank you kindly.

I've only run into a few celebrities, but the most memorable was seeing the basketball great, Wilt Chamberlain, in the Rome Airport. He was traveling by himself, and he wasn't rude, but you could tell he was really fed up with the Italians coming up to him and stretching their arms out, to express how big he was.
