The terrorists deserve capital punishment.

Infantile? The war leaders shouldn't be tried, but held accountable.

The IR aren't helping the situation. The US means no harm, yet the resistance is fighting over nothing. The sectarian groups are fighting each other, and that's the main reason why Coalition forces remain in larger numbers. Terrorists deserve to be lynched.

I agree again. The Americans have been torturing and murdering Iraqis to get their oil: http://news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/programmes/n ... 354269.stm

Some Americans may believe their government's lies, but not everyone is fooled.

Thank you. The Iraqi resistance acknowledges and thanks bravely honest people such as yourself in statements that they have released.

Well, it's not really that brave of me, given that I'm not American. The really brave ones are Americans who are willing to admit the truth.

I don't blame the Iraqi resistance one bit. If Americans invaded my country, and tortured and murdered my people, I'd be planting bombs too.

Yet so many are deluded..You would not believe how many people think the Iraqis have no right to defend themselves which in itself is racist and short sighted.

Oh, sure I would. I'm Canadian, which means I live right next door, and I'm constantly exposed to their media.

The hypocrisy is breathtaking. The US has now killed far more people in Iraq than died in 9/11, and their victims had nothing to do with that crime. Yet many Americans still support their government's actions, no matter how many Iraqis suffer and die unjustly. They feel sorry for themselves, and have no sympathy for anyone else. To them, only the deaths of Americans matter.

I don't support the US military's tactics and its continued abuse of Iraqis, but I do believe in military intervention when things get really bad in a country. Saddam was a very evil man, and he deserved what he got.

Warring over oil may be neccessary in the future. If someone cuts energy supplies or greatly raises their cost, then the only option is intervention, I'm afraid. That or anarchy and great hardships

Don't deny that Iraqis are killing Iraqis. You must be greatly ignorant and closed minded to believe otherwise. It isn't bullcrap propaganda, as much as you'd like to think. Far from it.

That's true, but please don't pretend that's what the invasion was about.

I haven't heard the US talk about "intervening" in North Korea, Burma, or Darfur. Just Iran -- which, coincidentally, also has oil!

What you're really saying is that it's better for Americans to impose anarchy and great hardships on people in other countries than to have to change their lifestyles.

I never did. But that fact doesn't justify US actions in any way.

Its a matter of Wilsonian diplomacy vs dollar diplomacy. Which do you think is the true motivating force behind American foreign policy? Call me cynical, but dollar diplomacy seems to me to be the force behind all nations.

Now, I know that the troops in Iraq aren't there to search for WMDs or whatever. Hey, turns out, they found them! In North Korea!

Anyway, We're there for oil. Plain and simple.

I think it's ignorant to blame the troops for what they're doing. It's the president who's ultimately responsible. US troops don't deliberately target churches and schools but if one happens to be next to an bad-guy stronghold, so be it.

It's just like during the US/USSR cold war. Each side's citizens hated each other and for no good reason either - just because our governments were being a-holes. I personally don't have any beef with the good citizens of Iraq or anywhere else in the world. It's the governments who need to be spanked. Ours too.

Oh, and FYI, WE didn't ram fully fueled jets into two of the largest, tallest, most populated buildings. Targeting non-combatants is just evil. At least Japan attacked a military target back in 1941.

What is everyone's problem? Why is simply *getting along with your neighbors* such a repellent notion?
