Don't worry, my dad has the same problem. He's got some heart disease which meant he had to work to loose five stone, and now that he runs/cycles etc. reguallay he's still classified as obese when he obviously isn't.

5"3 and 140lb (a good five above my normal weight because I've been comfort eating recently, and can't get out of the habit) - 24.8 (which is interesting, on the BBC version of this I normally come out as 25.something, and that's on my normal weight.)

How much does a "stone" weigh?

I'm thinking about dropping 25 pounds. That's about all, I wouldn't want to lose any muscle-mass. I'm just a large athletic person, like a football player. :)

14 pounds, but since the UK and Aus has gone metric you hardly ever here of it, but the US have still stuck to their pounds.

BMI is crap... it does not include muscle variables... my BMI is 15.85 or something but i have ZERO muscle tone so it is true to me. but for heavily muscular people only a doctor can get correct statistics

Sorry, I'm not used to using pounds/kilograms. The scales we have at home is in stone, so I always automatically turn stuff into it.

25 pounds is a lot... >> If you're muscular already won't it be hard to manage that much? Still, good luck. ^____^

I probably know of 2 people over here that don't still use stone. Just because it's changed officially, doesn't mean we don't use it!

My result is 25.8. Need to get on that treadmill!

also, reducing the relationship of height and weight to a number and putting some scales to it doesnt come close to delineate whether you feel well in your body.

exactly... its all abotu how you feel about it... and how your relationship acommodates it..

i for one do not want a skinny girl.. i would like a heavy girl since heavier girl = softer squishier hugs and more deep pressure if she lays on top of me (asexual comment)

BMI can't be calculated by just height and weight, as a few people have pointed out. In sophomore year health class we calculated ours properly, by measuring around our muscles and such. Body fat percentage and all that.

I'm 5'4'' and about 130 pounds, but it's (almost) all muscle.
