I'd have to say this little pizza place near where I live. It's family run, and the men take turns working there. They are very friendly and will converse with you until the pizza is ready.

Houston!! !

Star Pizza, Antonio's, and Italian Pie are the best.

Although Italian Garden here in San Marcos is very good as well.

The best pizza is from Napoli, where it was invented. ;)

See here for more about Neapolitan pizza. You can get it all over the world.

I was watching Anthony Bourdains No Reservations, the Pacific Northwest episode and they were showing a place in Portland
called Apizza Scholls, I really have to try some of their pizzas, They also have a place called VooDoo Doughnuts, have to get some of those

Well, now that I'm eating pizza as I type..I'd have to say this Papa John's is good but not sure what the best pizza in the city is since I'm unable to get around that much.

Seattle is actually not too bad, we don't have our own style, but we have several local chains that are quite good, such a Pagliacci and Mad pizza. Currently, I'm hooked on a place called Tutta Bella that has some sort of actual Italian traditional pizza making certification, it's really good. They make very thin crust, stick to traditional toppings, and use a very hot wood fired oven, it's quite delicious. Unfortunately they don't deliver, so I have to make the trek when I get the craving for them.

I'm not one to judge as Seattle is the only US place I've been, but have you been to Hot Mama's up East Pine? Their pesto pizza is awesome.

Let me just applaud Spudnick for making what is arguably the best thread ever.

My vote goes to either Sicily, New York City, Venice, or Chicago.
