I am guessing the 100,000 - 1 million option should be 100,000 - 500,000. Because then you have 500k - 1m.

So, 100-500k is what I chose.

Edinburgh - population 430,000, but it's on the rise. I'm guessing people would be surprised the city's population is as little as that.

Wow :o Yeah, I knew it was a small city compared to say London, but I expected it to be in the region of 900k-1m

Some figures in the UK would surprise a lot of people,e.g. Manchester proper isn't much bigger than Edinburgh but Greater Manchester has about 3 million, compared to the whole of Scotland
at 5 million

You just shattered my entire worldview by making me look it up on WP. I thought my city was a nest because it is small. Well, no, it isn't. according to 3 different Wikipedias it has more than 100k inhabitants. The German WP even explained the reason for it (3 other 'cities' became a part of it), but still... incredible to hear. (before you ask: I only live here since March)

'bout 30,000, I think. Though it's a town rather than a city.

Nah the poll has up to 25 million, but it's the penultimate (next to last) selection, rather than the last..

Raleigh, NC, only has 400,000 or so..

I live in Arlington, a city within the Dallas-Fort Worth metroplex, and as of 2007 Arlington had a population of over 370,000. Arlington, TX is the 50th largest city in the United States and the largest city in the world without public transportation. :x

The poll has two options that are correct for people living in cities with populations between 500,000 and 1 million.

My city, Louisville, KY, has anywhere between 710,000 and 1,250,000 depending on who you ask. There are like four different classifications of what are the city of louisville encompasses.
