The post above sums it up nicely, the leaders suck more and more
and the people care less and less since it all just sucks anyway -
dangerous development

After what Bush did to this country, I find that I've grown quite apathetic. And I'll kill the next bastard that knocks on my door and wakes me, on a Saturday morning, to give me a piece of paper telling me to go vote! :x

Keep in mind. Democrats are in the inside what Republicans are on the outside.

As long as we do have a 1 party system (masquerading as a two party system) there is nothing to get from these hope-dope dealers.

Some will say to vote for the lesser (or greater) of two evils. That would still be voting for evil.

If voting changed ANYTHING, they'd make it illegal.

Is that would you people want to hear?

Abandon hope, all ye that enter.

I will vote.

I have vetted both candidates, and researched my decision fully. I am a socially liberal Army veteran, with a service connected disability who is currently unemployed and a bit cynical.

I just finished listening to both McCain and Obama doing a charity dinner for Alfred E Smith. They were both funny, human and very charming. I highly recommend any of you fence sitters to listen to it.

I WILL VOTE!! !

And whether or not my chosen candidate wins or not, I will hold him up to a very high lever of scrutiny.

Please vote, if you can, do it for me, do it for yourself!

EDIT: Voting is your civic/patriotic responsibility. Besides once the poop hits the fan next year, you can legitimately complain about it!

I've given up on politics altogether. No matter what the people vote for, the politicians just go ahead and do their own thing anyway.

Also, due to the two-party system with primaries and the electoral college, I am often effectively disenfranchised.

There is no sense in wasting one's time voting if one's vote will not count for anything.

You'd have to give me a lot more than that to get me to put up with the aggravation, social encounters, wasted time, etc. Not to mention the illegality of buying someone's vote.

This is a free country. I have the right not to vote if I so choose.
