i hope you reinforced that cortina's frame. i'd hate to see it twisted and ripped in half by the monstrous torque of that (most likely not stock since it's a custom job) V8 engine. one thing i've always wanted to do is put a V8 in a fiero. i've never owned a fiero, i hear they're friggin death traps but it's pretty light, really small, and can apparently hold a small block v8. i saw a vid of a fiero with a supercharged v8 in it, definitely not the safest thing to drive on the road

Cortina 6 cyl (Same engine as the Aussie Falcon - 250cui inline 6cyl) sold in Australia is a very different chassis to the one sold through the rest of the world. Putting a V8 in a 4 Cyl Cortina chassis I wouldn't recommend. The 6 Cyl version is stronger and on top of that I've seam welded and added a few extra gussets just make sure it doesn't tear a differential mount point off the car. Yes, the 5.0 is modified, just a little. Alloy heads and intake make the V8 lighter than the all cast-iron 6 cyl it replaced so it also does not affect the chassis' balance at all. It does break seat backs however. Pics and specs on my website

V8 in a Fiero... now there's a nicely balanced chassis to drive around corners with. Corvair scares me, like a volkswagen does. Mid engine works, rear engine turns the rear axle into a lever point for the rest of the chassis to see-saw on.
