I'm so jealous of you! :) All your dolls are very beautiful. You're lucky you get paid to make custom dolls, that's something I'd enjoy doing, but I don't have the patience to perfect the craft.

I checked out your photobucket, and I have to say that my favorite doll is the tan male elf with the blonde wig and green eyes. If I may ask, who is he?

word of advice IdahoRose, second hand is the way for beginners to go
trust me there
I know a doll forum you might like (helps that its primarily american)
I didn't mind paying an extra 5 dollars for shipping but shipping within the country is faster, cheaper and easier
ya know?

Kilroy, please tell me about this doll forum! I would like to go there to look for 2nd-hand dolls. :) It's a huge bonus that the shipping is within the country. The idea of importing dolls has always made me a bit nervous, so to me the $5 extra is worth it.

Oh that is a Bobobie Weylin. He is 60 cm tall.i named him Igor, lol. Bobobi dolls are very affordable and beautiful- also resinsoul- they are a sister company. Bobobie casts Resinsoul's dolls, and they are very similar and priced the same range.
EDIT:
Oh, and Den of Angels is a bjd forum for all ages. There are some rules about what dolls are "on topic". I have bought most of my dolls second-hand from there. You have to get some posts under your belt before you can use the marketplace, but it is a great resource for dolls and doll stuff. I used to post more on there, but I spend that time more here now LOL. I am Pumibel there too. Sometimes they dont let people register for a while because the board gets flooded, but just check back.

Warning: bjds are addictive!

Ah, a Bobobie... I should have recognized the sculpt, because I have done research on them! Silly me! Igor is a great name; then again, I always love learning the names of peoples' dolls. :P

Right now DoA's home page says it is invitation only. It's kind of encouraging for me, because all during last year registration was closed period. It's nice to see that they're letting people back in, if only a little at a time. I feel bad for asking, but could you please send me an invitation? If it's too much of a bother, I can wait until they open registration to more people.

Well, to be honest, most of what I knew about DoA came from ED, which is infamous for painting everyone and everything in a bad light. I love that feeling when you start talking to people who share your interests and you feel like you fit in. :D

they hate everything, even themselves lol
I do fit in there, and they're nice to me

after all the bs and problems I went threw, everything actually worked.
I got the money to the lady, and a mailbox at the post office and the doll is being sent here tomorrow

I know what you mean- I hear so much bad stuff about the DOA folks but I have had nothing but a good experience there. I have been a member for over a year- maybe more than two, cant remember. Anyway, the discussions are always lively and people are more than happy to share their experience with "newbs". It is a perfect place for those with dolls as a "special interest" (that would be me). No one at home wants to hear me go on and on about them, that's for sure!
