Sliced up a couple medium sized white potatoes and cooked them in evoo with some seasoning salt, added a sliced up farmer's sausage and had a decent hot meal out of them. Maybe does't check all the boxes for nutrition as I could have added some veggies, but tasty and very inexpensive. With the cost of everything through the roof and my income very low this past year I'll be cooking a lot of simple meals and not wasting money on takeout or convenience foods as much as I have this past year. (Which is still below other peoples' average, but far too wasteful for my liking.) I'll be healthier and wealthier for it.

I fried an egg and toasted a slice of bread. Later on I took a portion of my potato recipe out of the big saucepan in the refrigerator and heated it in the microwave.

Big fat nothing so far. Heated up a couple leftover pancakes and put some nut & seed butter and fibre on 'em.

Mongolian beef made with flank steak cut into thin strips across the grain.
Flank steak is tasty but can be a tough cut of meat.

I cooked up a little fun for myself. I went into a pawn shop and bought an Iron Cross to pin onto my cloth helmet and went to C-Lovers for all you can eat fish n chips. Did you know that fish n chips are as popular with Germans as they are with Englanders?
