I get that feeling every so often that I am unloved, and no woman wants me.

Certain Fortunate People here are enjoying cooler weather.
However, the temperature where I am reached 107 or 108 degrees on Saturday, and has continued to be wretched.
Somehow, I feel that Kevinjh or TenPencePiece maybe responsible.......
They are off hiding somewhere, raising havoc with the climate!

Nah you got that all wrong Sylkat, though the cones probably have something to do with it
They've betrayed me, and ran off into the wilderness
And after all I did for them...

I am new here and saw this thread. I thought is was really interesting because even after I posted a few things here (on other threads) I noticed my posts are usually read wrong. And people with posts not so nice things in response to my posts. I thought it would be different here. So I'll try this thread. Maybe I'll get lucky.

I'm mostly just looking for someone with similar tastes that i could be friendly with.

Here are some of my tastes:

I like country music,
I read ALOT, favorite author is Christine Feehan.
I'm a 35 y/o female, married with 2 daughters (8 & 4)
My obsession at this time other than books is climate change.
I work full time.
I have no major calamity to complain about, I enjoy my life.
I just don't fit in most places. 8O

Girl Porn!

I'm just kidding - please don't eat me

One of my girl friends gave me one of her books to read once (a bit of a shock for me, as you can imagine).
Although it's not my thing - I was very impressed with the amount of research that she put into her books, much of the location related stuff is very historically and factually accurate - most fiction authors don't bother researching, or if they do, not to that extent.

Hi,

First I must ask how to make that white section come up with the other persons comments.

Then I must say, why is everyone from Australia that I seem to talk to here. Makes for lag in comments. I'm sleeping while you are awake, you sleeping while I'm awake. :D

Anyway I would love to talk about Christine Feehan's books. She is an amazing author that writes books so well, and yes her research is amazing. That makes the books sound SO realistic. Like you could just go to these towns and meet the characters. I've read them so many times over and over and each time the book just gets better. Well they are all my very favorite books but I'll put them in series order:

Carpathian's
Drake sisters
sisters's of the heart
ghost walkers
Leopard people

Which one's did you read? And for those that are interested, these books are so good. If you let me know your interests I could tell you which series to read first.

The easiest way is to start your reply by clicking the Image box in the upper right corner of their post.

The more difficult method is start the reply and then use Image to create the closing [/quote] and opening [quote] tags.

The first tag (the opening one) often has an "=" sign followed by a name in parentheses in the syntax to indicate authorship.

I think I'm rather unpopular here. It seems my original posts don't get replied to, if they do then only about 2 people reply then the thread gets forgotten. But I see some other people's threads here get loads of replies, pages and pages of replies, and the thread stays fresh and alive for days or even weeks - and it's not always an interesting thread! Someone can write a thread about a certain table they don't like, and the thread could receive, like, over 100 replies and stay popular for weeks, but I write threads about real interesting stuff, facts of life, how I (and many other Aspies) feel, and I only get, like, 2 replies and the thread dies off.

Also people make threads about silly things like ''is it an Aspie thing to [insert normal human behaviour/thought here]?'' and everybody believes it and keeps the thread going for weeks, but when I post a thread asking something that's sensibly an Aspie thing (like feeling anxious about small things), people are like, ''I don't think it's an Aspie thing....''

:?

Perhaps my posts aren't intelligent enough. Perhaps, like all humans, people here only look for hidden ''non-verbal'' messages in posts, not what the actual post is about.
