Some guy obviously withdrawing from opiates (really jittery and itching himself) asked me for a quarter, and then started walking up to me when I said I didn't have one because he didn't hear me. I hate when people walk up to me here because I feel like they're going to stab me or something. I feel bad for the dude but please don't walk up to me.

I'm silently freaking out over a dentist appointment that I have in a few hours (I have a dental phobia, and our area has very high COVID infection rates right now). I don't have much of a choice though, as i need a chipped tooth repaired so it doesn't later get infected.

Thanks. The problem is it's up and won't go down. The little silver pin that pops into place on the pole won't retract. I've taken it all apart and even oiled it. No go.
