Will meet up with someone, and they'll probably call a third person, someone who won't otherwise talk to me unless there's someone else there, and they'll patronize me by reminding me I can text them any time. They have notifications turned off for my texts, and they never wonder what I'm up to and check for my texts, so how it doesn't occur to them I'm going to be insulted by this is beyond me.

The whole thing is demeaning, and I can't wait to get it over with. Then nobody will think of me until Christmas, where I'll get a call from my sister, and she'll ask if I did anything special, to which the answer has been 'no' every single year. And then finally Christmas will be over.

Happy f-ing holidays.

 Laughing because I can relate. The annoyance of interaction, social facade, etc. My other first reaction was, "Your sibling actually asks about you?" I think mine doesn't realize I exist when he's not around.

You're not missing much. I have this conversation to look forward to:

Did you do anything special?
No.
Did you at least cook something special for dinner?
No.
Do you have a tree?
No.

lol

I worked for my last company eleven years. Nobody ever wondered if I had plans for the holidays. Then a new employee comes along and the boss's girlfriend asks them if they have plans for thanksgiving and would they like to join them for thanksgiving dinner. Not that I envied them for an invite to the boss's house lol, but I was so pissed off I had to leave work.

Thinking back to when I saw a photo of his wedding, 5 years ago.

I cried for 3 straight days, my biggest tear landing on the first letter of his name, on my keyboard, on the top left of the key & my next biggest tear on the last letter of his name, to the bottom right of the key, on the key next to that one, to the left of that key.

Very fateful, very sorrow. :(

This is some travel and at least a couple hours visit. In truth I look forward to seeing them. Haven't in 15 years. Not looking forward to the travel. And if it goes well, there will be more travel, and a sleepover or two, and another person to see. In past years this mighta been exciting. Now it's just kinda exhausting. And my kitties will be alone for the first time ever. And...ugh...

Are you quoting yourself?

Also, nobody knows what you are referring to here. You sound like you are talking to yourself?

A woman I dated once told me that she didn't like me any more after I cut my hair. I guess some women view you as the sum of your hair.

I had to order a frozen one with my online grocery order (i can't eat gluten or dairy and have to buy specialty, unfortunately). My partner drove out do get our pickup, and I had pizza for lunch!

I am gluten free also. I used to be dairy free from 2008 until 2018, but I have lost that intolerance/allergy now, thankfully.

I realise there is a distinction between intolerance & allergy.

I was allergic to many, many things at one point, and seemed to be suffering some kind of autoimmunity until probably my late twenties? It has reduced in its influence now (the overactive immune system).

Having a hard time getting through each day. Getting older and looking toward a future of decreasing abilities and decreasing value.
