Fresh cream white paint, rid of the PC table, rid of the decades old cabinet, rid all the damn bags filling the whole built in cabinet, rid of the electronics and boxes that's just been gathering dust, rid all of plush toys, rid of any of my sister's clothes and put it all in the decades old cabinet, rid all of those shoes at the bottom built-in cabinet, rid of excessive gadgets that I'm sure ain't using it on a regular basis...

After that -- no more interventions allowed. It's mine now.

Bloody Bank Holidays!

Christmas Day was on a Saturday this year, and Boxing Day on Sunday (obviously). Pretty much everything shuts down on these days (shops closed, no post deliveries, no public transport, etc). However, since these days fell on a weekend, when some of these services would be restricted anyway, both the Monday and the Tuesday were designated as public holidays too. Aaaaaarrrrggghh!

New Year's Day was also on a Saturday. All shops shut, though they're usually open on a Saturday. Today (Monday) will be a 'Bank Holiday' for New Year's Day, despite the fact that we had a holiday shutdown on Saturday.

God, I hate public holidays, everything closing down, normal activities cancelled.

More stupid Bank Holidays to come over the Easter period, and also on the first and last Mondays of May.
