Prostate???

*ding* There y'go.

They give you a LOT of chemicals to drink beforehand in order to clean out your lower intestines. Then you have to fast for 12 hours, and drink the nasty stuff. Then, when you're out of your mind from the empty stomach and empty colon, you have to sit in a waiting room for them to call your name so they can knock you out and shove a garden hose where you shouldn't ever have something that size shoved.

A while back, I was in the recovery room with my ex, she had just had the camera into her stomach thing. The guy next to us just had the ass camera. They basically shoot air up into you to expand the colon so they can see it. All that air needs to come out, and needless to say, this poor guy had epic farts. They were so loud......thunder claps.....basically, louder than any of us have ever heard.

Oh yes, that's one of the side effects. They give you "good" drugs so you forget about that later on.

This I wonder to myself each day, not to sound sexist or anything; but is it really, from a biological standpoint, easier being a man? My answer, yes, we don't have to deal with 'that time of the month', for sure. :D

women don't have to deal with prostate cancer and related performance issues. women generally don't have to worry about military conscription. women don't have to "act like a man" on pain of facing the cold shoulder from a patriarchal society. nobody expects a woman to open doors for a man.

The world never can be equal as the genders will never be truly equal because the genders are different.

Women are physically weaker. Women can't walk around alone at night in some places without putting themselves in serious danger. Breast cancer may be less common than prostate cancer, but it's more lethal. Some STIs like HPV are more likely to give women cancer.

From a biological standpoint, I think a woman's life is more challenging. Note that 'more challenging' is not the same as worse.

when i was in the army, there were women who if i were to have crossed them, would've twisted me into a pretzel and ate me for a snack. more challenging can certainly be experienced as worse.

I think I heard that men can get breast cancer too, it's just rarer in them.

all the more reason for everybody [not just men] to adhere to a low-sugar-low-starch diet which is less acidic, which means less-cancer-friendly.

Less than 1% of all breast cancer cases are male. A disproportionate number of men with breast cancer have Klinefelter's (XXY) syndrome.

I was always under the impression that the prostate exam just involved a doctor sticking his hand up your butt. All this talk of hoses and drugs has me afeared!

not a whole hand but a lubricated and gloved crooked finger. the hoses are when they do the colon scope.
