Hoss was the "big teddy bear" type.

He was sort of socially awkward---but not too bad. He was not suave like his older brother Adam; nor good-looking and sort of spoiled like his younger brother "Little Joe."

But, in a fight, nobody could beat him. He had that sort of reputation.

#3 for Isabella.

Yes, my various uncles fought in Vietnam, feared mice, wrote God books and looked like KK.

I'll try again to lie.

1. My friend Christine wore feather earrings.

2. We really liked Pink Floyd Wish You Were Here.

3. She was invited to my house quite frequently.

You're right! 3 is my lie! You must have a good memory, Korts! My mother hated Christine and besides, I was embarrassed that she would see my Raggedy Ann, canopy bed or other childish things and make fun of me. That's when I destroyed my dolls with magic markers and scissors. :(

Yes, we rocked the feather earrings. (Although I hated them, I just wanted to fit in and do everything she did).

#1 for Feel. You might have bit his nose---but you were otherwise nice to him

My Lie is #1. My father was drafted for Korea---but the war ended just before he was going to be deployed. He has only one memory of being in the Army: "s**t on a shingle."

I just remembered your brother is six years older, and therefore the timeline would have worked for Vietnam (almost, like you said). Whew, on all accounts.

1. There is a December birthdate in my family that is shared in five "mother's mother" generations.

2. If I could have chosen my own birthdate (date -- not year), I would have chosen what I have, exactly.

3. I don't really know anyone born in January. I've noticed this my whole life.
