I feel like boys just call their leggings longjohns.

A hoodie is my default winter coat, too. I hate dealing with a big coat.

Wow.

I just listened to a few clips of her as Brünnhilde on YouTube. Definitely wow.

It's incredible how a single voice can soar above a very large orchestra without breaking into shouting.

I'd forgotten just how damn good Solti's "Decca Ring" is - an incredible performance of a massive work.
The included Deryck Cooke CDs "An Introduction to the Ring" show Wagner's genius and how he runs musical threads - leitmotifs - through the whole thing, tying it all together with a musical narrative of hints, signposts, to the story line.
Magical.

How WP has been getting better over the past 2 years. It's a more inclusive and welcoming place.

It is slightly cooler today than it has been.

I still came home drowning in sweat though.

My bride has gotten some medical results lately that sounded like they might be bad news.

I went with her today to get the "official" assessment by Pulmonology.

Get retested in three months, just to be sure, but it is very unlikely to be cancer! :D

Congrats! ^

Much the same today with my daughter's cancer scare.
It's not ruled out yet but there seems to be another culprit.

Congratulations to you and your daughter, as well.

It was a PET scan that indicated the nodules in my bride's lungs were very probably not cancer tumors. In March 2023 it was a PET scan that indicated the "old" nodules in my lungs had not started growing again, quelling a cancer scare on me.

I'm thinking I like PET scans!
