The only thing I can say is where I reside in real life i'm in the so-called unpopular realm since, I don't play along the clique-way of things..

Oh? And why is that?

And we still haven't properly arranged Saturday yet. I really must get on with finding out about train times. Do you want to meet up at Horwich Parkway?

I'm in Devon at the moment, Teq, and don't really have internet.
I'm home by tomorrow evening though, so communications can go much more...smoothly.

And it may not be as much unpopularity as it is loneliness. The only people who live close-ish to me, I don't relate to. I do enjoy our meet-ups though.

Thank GOD!

If I bring my own towel, can I come along? Plz? :help:

I promise I'll behave.

Oh, don't do that. Just get yourself a time machine, go to the past and escape with the dolphins
But do bring a towel besides. Never, ever leave behind your towel.

Dear Professor, of course it is not boring; YOU are here!

Dear Emerald, is it YOUR house that the Vogons are demolishing?

Where shall we have your 'Welcome' party?

The pub where Ford Prefect is probably even now buying up all of the salted peanuts?

Do I have time to bake a Pineapple Upside Down Cake?

Sylkat

Sylkat, I think your avatar is ADORABLE!

It IS my house the Vogons are demolishing.. I'd prefer to have my welcome party at The Restaurant at the End of the Universe instead of earth.. After my beer and peanuts, of course.

Can the Pineapple Upside Down Cake be gluten-free? How fast can you bake that sucker?! !!

In the spirit of the season though, you may consider this :

Speshul Seasonal Upside Down Cake! <---- CLICK!

PS - Why the heck aren't links underlined around here? O_o

I've actually been thinking lately about making gluten-free pineapple upside down cake.. as well as GF angel food cake. As soon as I have money I will get some ziplock baggies and start some GF Amish friendship bread too.

A week or two ago I made what was meant to be banana bread.. I decided mid-mix to throw nutmeg, molasses, cinnamon, vanilla, and god-knows-what else in there, and I ended up with a mild, chewy GF gingerbread loaf!

Oh yeah, I also need to get some motivation going and stop crying every time I go into the kitchen, otherwise the baking isn't going to happen. :-)

Oh the recipe I used was fine, but all the spices I added to it on my whim turned it into gingerbread.. you just couldn't taste the banana anymore. :-)

It was really moist with the bananas and applesauce in it, and contained no oil.
