I'm very happy with the last-minute costume I put together. I kinda tried to dress as a woman but maybe just looked weird. I made a skirt out of an old pair of workout shorts, and I wore my crocheted rainbow hat with fake hair (yarn) coming from under it. Given the extremely limited materials and time I had I think I did pretty damn well. I got my first compliment in the elevator before I even got outside. Sadly I didn't get any free candy since there's nowhere to go trick or treating around here, but I just enjoyed walking around and seeing other people's costumes. Mostly I enjoyed making the costume--and that was free, since I used entirely stuff I already had lying around. I guess that makes up for the bag of candy I bought.
