It's been absolutely foul weather all day, with constant heavy downpours. I had to take refuge in a betting shop in Manchester today, just to get some shelter, and placed a losing wager on a horse I'd never heard of at Goodwood. Then 20 minutes later, it started again and I had to go into McDonald's just round the corner. Got off the bus at the end of my journey home, and got absolutely soaked to the skin walking the 300 yards to my home. This UK 'summer weather' is no joke!

It poured down last night and I awoke to all the windows fogged over.The humidity was 100%.It smelled like the tropics outside.And it’s going to get hotter and with all the rain the heat index will be in the triple digits.
