Chummy,
I'm not in the US. Valentines are tokens of love normally bestowed in February to honour romantic commitment (and, ironically, the executions of two saints Valentine who defied the Catholic Church to perform marriages for lovers, despite a decree to the contrary by the Emperor Claudius II).
Some people send flowers or hand-write poems and remembrances called Valentines.
Some are anonymous, and some are not.
I received a Valentine yesterday although it is not February, and it made me very happy.
This Valentine took 36 years to arrive in the post so let's just say I'm tickled pink, and it will be framed!
1. My Valentine is from a girl.
2. My Valentine is hand-made.
3. My Valentine arrived with a bouquet of Freesia.
It's such a romantic day. At school I used to get a few cards, most of which I still have. I have a Memory Box which I put all my treasured and special items I own in.
Your Valentine gift sounds beautiful Isabella.
