I avoid them as much as possible and refuse to enter into unproductive discussion with them.

All social skills feel like acting to me because I have to consciously think of doing it.
I don't think there is a difference.

I think they may be the same set of skills, but social skills are used unconsciously (by NTs, anyway), and acting skills are used consciously.

i agree with that. acting skills are used consciously, whereas social skills are more firmly ingrained int the brains wiring and are more unconscious, and instinctual.
