This 18.02 pset...
Eight hours of on-task work with a study group and still much less than halfway done. And it's only 7 problems long.

I miss you guys a lot. Have been busy and I can't come on here much...because I want to get into the top 5% of my school. For a student ay my school, it's very difficult. From where I am right now, it's about as easy as climbing Everest.

Greetings!

Regarding braces: It probably will not be too bad, and retainers (if they follow, which they probably will) will become comfortable fairly quickly.
Regarding problem set: Eight hours on-task for a problem set? Is 18.02 the multivariable calculus course?
Regarding work for school: I sincerely hope that effort will be rewarded with entry, as that seems like a very difficult task/series of tasks.

[This post has been very difficult to articulate properly, but the general thought behind it is one of concern and the feeling associated with having an increase in pulse and pressure (stress?) despite not directly being involved with the events.]

I only let them put in the permanent retainer today because I had my mouth wide open for an hour and a half. They were polishing and grinding my teeth, and making impressions and stuff... :eew:

So yeah, they're going to finish up my retainer and take them off next Wednesday. :)

One of the nice things about having retainers as compared to most braces is that they are removable, although it does feel odd not to have them in the mouth (and results in pronouncing odd alveolar and palatal phonemes).
