The NT version is;
Trying to make ends meet, you're a slave to the money then you die.
The Verve
This is the great lie forced upon the masses who believe themselves into wage slavery because they can't imagine a life outside the box that's been made for them.
Most people live in a prison of their minds and imagination is the only key

It takes a very brave individual to break out of this matrix. Most of us always choose the blue pill.

Ahhh I'm just tired of the people with such mean spirits and empty souls. And the people here are such robots, you mention souls or spirits and they are legitimately afraid.
There was a homeless Vietnam veteran who lived behind a liquor store in my home town. He would occasionally go into the street and start conducting traffic, yelling at all the drivers how they were all just a bunch of robots and I realized my dear god I have more to talk about with this man than 99.9% of people you meet.

I found when I was younger I used to get really irate at these people and get into conflicts because I hated their narrow mindedness. Nowadays I'm sorry for them. People are conditioned from a young age to follow social norms and they don't think twice in casting judgement because they feel entitled.
I am sure there's some dude living off the grid who would say the same about us talking on computers.

But I mean I really can't have a functional conversation with 99.9% of people. I feel like my mind is a multidimensional vortex and interacting with people is just shoving it into a box and it is painful and I never get it right anyway. I see the entire universe including the manmade one in constant flux it is dynamic and ever changing and always being written. But for whatever reason 99.9% of humanity has really latched on to this idea of creating boxed upon boxes upon boxes, physically, categorically etc. It's all they can do. But energy moves in spirals - our DNA, our galaxy, the movement of the planets around the sun - and yet we're supposed to marvel at this boxed cage like it's the pinnacle in human progress ... And my inner monologue just feels like I'm screaming in horror at this unfeeling machine that is the broader architect of human interaction. And the reality is NO ONE CARES.
No one cares their entire human existence is fundamentally misaligned with the forces of life
No one cares their consciousness has greater applications than just a cog in a global machine
No one cares to even see the manmade world as in flux, not set in stone, rewritable etc
No one really cares to listen to me reveal efficiency hacks I discovered from dating apps primarily Tinder. You think they would but they don't. They just treat it as "what is this physically attractive but personality 2-level weirdo rambling on and on about."
