Dry county here.No liquor for twenty miles unless you get bootleg beer and it’s always Busch in a can.Yuck.The good bootlegger that had a variety retired.

Always found that whole concept bizarre.. dry county? Wtf you mean? Prohibition ended in 1933.

Anyways, it seems you have an opportunity for a side hustle to make some extra cash now that variety guy retired.. :D

So, there's national prohibition, but there's also county level prohibition laws. Repealing the amendment for national prohibition didn't address county level prohibition.

What time do most people go to pubs in the UK on Saturdays for example?

Most of the state is damp. Some counties have no liquor stores but private clubs can operate can sell to members .It’s how to tell you are in the Bible Belt.
I don’t want that career, people driving in and out at all hours .

I always notice the afternoon drinkers who usually go home about 5 or 6 ish and then the evening drinkers who usually go out about 6 to 6:30 ish.

I used to stay out all day when I was younger so that's when I noticed such a trend.

Work got postponed til tmw morning so after dealing with some family things I went to the beach and I’ve had a beer and a 7% cider. Feeling buzzed so cutting myself off for now. Miiiight have another in 2-3 hours, maybe not. Time will tell. Feeling fine, just gotta be legal to drive tonight (under .05) + I don’t need to increase my tolerance Or drink so many calories I get fat. Haven’t been working or working out enough for months sooo don’t need to compound the problem by drinking myself into a beer gut.

Having 2 pint cans of 4.8 percent Carlsberg tonight in the comfort of my home. Don’t want to have to many cans tonight since I am out having beers for friends birthday tomorrow at 7 in evening.

Will try and make each can last 1 hour.

Carlsberg export I guess. I think that used to be 5% alcohol. Pisses me off how they keep messing around with beers/ciders and reducing the abv. They've completely ruined Becks which has gone down from 5% to 4%.

Fortunately Magners is still 4.5% as usual and tastes good.

In the US don’t buy beer right off the interstate in convenience stores. it’s only 3.5% some sort of strange law.
In Utah the beer and beverages in grocery stores or convenience stores is always 3.5.You have to go to a state operated liquor store and they don’t keep any of it cold.

What is the US, communist China? I thought the US was supposed to be the land of the free? The sodding health police ruin things for every responsible adult

Very true, but I'll be having a good look around in Morrisons and Sainsburys tomorrow morning.

Have you tried the 0.0% vol Guinness? It gets good reviews although I didn't like it.
