How much total snow is there? If it's 5 inches, it would be hard to dig your car out---provided other people didn't create big snow drifts in the road because of their shoveling. Yes, there are idiots like that.

Or maybe snowplows might clear the road, and bury the cars on the sides.

It's not too bad. It was like what you are describing last Feb. Not quite that heavy this time so far. I expect a lot will melt today.

-5C, not snowing atm. The furnace (natural gas/forced air) died a couple hours ago, though. At least we have a gas fireplace and electric baseboard heaters in the bedrooms & bathrooms and a couple of space heaters. I don’t thing it will freeze in here.. probably get pretty cold in the main part of the house, though.

snowed medium-sized flakes somewhat noisily [made a loud whizzy whirring and soft chuff-chuff as the massed snowflakes descended and hit the ground] accumulated to where i thought there'd be a foot before long, then it slowed down at the 2" mark so far. then it warmed up and started melting.

The weekend should be cooler however.

-8C where my job site is. And there’s no heat hooked up in our area. Long. Underwear etc make it tolerable, but I think the low temps are f*****g with my material making it difficult to mix properly to use.. so now I’m about to put a few frozen boxes of mud into a wooden garbage bin, add a space heater, and cap it off with a sheet of drywall to warm some up to use today. Here’s to hoping it works and I can get it mixed all nice and creamy so I can fly through my work!

Of course, mixing whatever stuff in icy weather is going to cause problems. Sorry about that. That's a real hassle. I sympathize/empathize with you there.

Minus 8 is pretty cold. About 17 Fahrenheit. But, if you're dressed properly, you can certainly work in this sort of weather.

If there's lots of ice, though----then it can get pretty screwy. Snow is usually not so bad to work in.

We’re indoors. Creature comfort factor is totally fine. But the material I work with is supposed to be stored and used between 13-35C and all we have are two tiny 1500 watt space heaters.

I’ve never worked for general contractor that refused to heat a site before. But I’ve heard it’s always an argument about who will provide heat and fans. I brought my own two personal 20” fans in because my boss doesn’t have any. But heat this whole place? Lol no. Lessons learned for me though: If I ever do a side job in the Winter I’ll tell ‘em they have to heat the place or no thanks, find someone else or wait until Spring.

WIND ADVISORY REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL 1 AM EST FRIDAY...Northwest winds 20 to 30 mph with gusts up to 55 mph expected....Gusty winds could blow around unsecured objects. Tree limbs could be blown down and a few power outages may result. Use extra caution when driving, especially if operating a high profile vehicle. Secure outdoor objects.

Still a good pile of snow on the ground. Walking through the local forest hill park right now. Crunch crunch crunch. Thankfully the icy cold winds subsided and it's tolerable being outdoors.
