Got one crisis settled. I no longer have the energy to settle crises and bounce back. I am exhausted because yesterday and today working on this crisis. It is the emotional bit of making all the phone calls and trying to get people to be sensible and try to get disparate people and organizations working together. Like, hey folks, aren't we all supposed to be concerned about this homeless disabled individual? Instead of say, "that's not my job."

So, I accomplished something, but at what price?

Yesterday: had to shave the beard because of going to a high SARS-CoV-2 area. :( I didn't really care, just me being silly/having fun. Hospital.

Today: cut up 1/2 the dead tree with the axe, because I'm dumb like that. Wearing myself out with each cast blow made me less numb and downcast (personal family stuff). Used the wheelbarrow to transport the logs, as I'm sometimes smart like this. Day to day life stuff (running out of food, so reminder). Felt immense joy when seeing someone, because I'm corny like that (nah, you're not, but you're quite slow at many things). Forgot to take medication again and suffered the fun of that, but I'm apparently tough enough when it comes to physical stuff, so I'm cool. Maybe I just have altered pain receptors, or maybe not.

Dropped some homeopathic remedies off for my vax-free friend at the covid emergency admissions ward (sometimes you gotta humour people). Doubt I'll achieve much before next week, I gotta skip work and stay at home since we hung out last week and he had a cough... I had to drop him at hospital yesterday.

checked credit report on experian. checked credit card account history. it appears that nobody stole my identity recently. (things are not always the way they appear)

jogged seven miles. uneventful. did not feel good or bad. and that, itself, is a good thing.

grocery shopping

three hour nap.

in other words: nothing above the negligible amount. (for a couple of months, been intending to apply for jobs. but then again, maybe i am unemployable. my current job, according to Reddit, is going through Reorganization. allegedly, every associate has to do every job in that department. for me, Lot Attendant has to do Customer Service and Cashier. which i do not think i could handle, because of vocal cord damage and autism and clinical depression. paranoid the slave plantation will reorganize my worthless corpse right out the door. on the other hand, (1) nobody from work has told me anything about the Reorganization, and anyone could post anything on Reddit. (2) maybe nobody will ever hire my worthless corpse again. and even if they do, they could make my worthless corpse redundant.

for a couple months, been intending to deep clean Pigpen. too lazy and apathetic. it is not really that dirty and it does not need to be that clean for any particular purpose. have not vaccuumed in a couple of months.

Battery was dropped off so Jeep battery replaced (do I restart the clock? To be fair, batteries are fickle things and are more of an external component). Too many phone calls, which might not sound like much, but when I list off the things I'd rather do than make a single phone call, you'd understand. :P One good thing with the rain is that I get to have actual long showers. It's usually dry and getting water delivered isn't cheap. So, that's a treat for me.

Cut up the rest of the tree. Used the resharpened machete ("All Terrain Chopper" from Cold Steel, so not really what you'd think when you hear the term machete). Better than an axe for this type of hardwood, but you need to wrap your hands up due to blisters. Pain is sorta a good distraction though.

Finished the expired Coke (a year out of date is fine, so you know).

Stopped myself from self-harming to change that emotional pain to physical pain, because I need at least one fully functional hand and it doesn't help anything in the end. Don't judge me, but I listened to Linkin Park albums (which was an achievement). A few songs are alright. I then listened to [older] Astronautalis albums to erase some of that pain. Not really doing any physical stuff due to no food (LifeStraw works fine due to no bottled as tank water is iffy without proper filtration). :| Hopefully I can get out on Monday, if not Wednesday. No real bother for me as that rumbling stomach is something I'm used to (the joys of rural living).

Washed clothes, and they dried quickly today.
