Dug out a garden bed
Moved soil around
Collected organic material to line garden bed
Filled up bottles of water from the outdoor bath
Diverted water away from the lower tank, which has been overflowing forever, it seems
Bathed and washed my hair
Watched the storm

I cooked beef. It's been a very long time since I did that. I've learned that I dislike chicken enough that if I take it out of the freezer, it'll go bad before I decide to eat it. So, I'm trying beef.

Managed to fix the laptop for the 3rd time, but I'll order a new one anyway; sometimes there's not a workaround.

Managed to stop myself from self-harming again, and not because I don't want to go to the hospital. I don't know why, as I'm quite bad right now. Mostly just day to day stuff due to no food. I was going to paint the bearers in random exterior white #5323511, but of course it was raining today, and it looks like it will for at least another week. Drunk whisky for dinner, which didn't make me feel better but helped with the hunger. On that note, I'm looking forward to food tomorrow; sometimes you don't appreciate things as much as you really should if you don't go without.

Said some words for an uncle that died today. I have extended family, but they're strangers to me. He seemed like an alright guy nonetheless (he kinda called me too white as a kid several times, but I'll let that one go). WW2 vet. RIP.

Thanks, dude. I just need to catch a ride, so it's not on my time. I'm usually alright, but sometimes I might miss some days if something comes up, which it recently did. The biggest issue is it's hard enough for me to put on weight as is, so I can't do all that much if I miss a few days. :| Kinda used to going without stuff over here. Maybe it's made me more appreciative, maybe not.

Got food. :)

Looked through photos of me as a baby/toddler (just the ones with my mother). I was akin to a glow worm due to the eye burning paleness, which was quite the contrast to my thoroughly tanned mother (who was amazingly beautiful and no doubt gave a lot emotionally, which would be why my father liked her).

I made Civics, Golfs and Spec Miatas work well with the Group A Corollas and Escorts so now I have another, completely different category of racing to get involved with.

Well, you'd have to take on all of those chronic feelings of fight or flight I have, and I don't think that's a worthwhile trade just to look fit. :) I wouldn't do that one to someone anyway. It takes a long time to get used to it. Zoloft made me gain weight, and that's about all it did. :?

Made some phone calls because of course I had to (yeah, they're up there on Dill's difficulty list, and I can't explain that one outside of maybe a combination of reciprocation issues and disorganized thinking).

Got basil planted out. Used the chain saw to take out the mango branches killed by the two 29F nights e had in February. Most of the trees are 2/3 gone. They’ll come back, but only a few mangos this year, that were protected by a smudge pot. Usually get 200 pounds.

Dill, if you don’t mind my asking, where do you live that you have a food shortage?

Rural area and no license. I'm mostly fine, it's just as I said, I missed my usual window of getting groceries due to emergency stuff. I tag along with some nice neighbors when they go. I'll probably buy more non-perishable canned stuff now due to lessons learned.

Started making a stew.

Checked property for damage after the storm.
Not much to speak of, a few branches down, driveway looking a bit rougher.
Planted herbs.
Edged and trimmed.
Moved a load of car and truck batteries.
Think I'm going to be very sore tomorrow.

I gave some of the bearers their 1st coat of random exterior white #52336221 (I beat the rain window). I prefer multiple thin coats. Makes more sense to me, and you also avoid drips. Dries quicker too. More of those brain destroying phone calls. Day to day stuff. Mopped the floor. Stew was alright. I can go for walks again now that I have food. Carer stuff (sigh. I feel terrible, but that's just me; I keep on walking).

I also live in a rural area. But do have license and a car. Still, don’t want to make more trips to town than I have to. I try to stock up on things like dried black beans, lentils and rice. These used to be so cheap. Not any more.

My major accomplishment was going to the dentist.
