Not sure if it classifies as true but as a new member I've seen a few exchanges in WP that made me feel the same way as AmazingMess. I've seen messages where members said things like "you're too good looking to be an aspie", "some people want a diagnosis to be cool" and other things among those lines. It is sad because I saw WP as a place full of people "like me", but I do realize I was too hopeful and trying once more to fit in, to find my place somewhere (It won't happen I just don't fit period). :)

Anyway, I decided there is a lot of people here and some great and not so great topics, so I'll to stick around and contribute when I believe I have something relevant to say.

That's good to hear. (: No sense giving up because there are definitely some good people around here, too.

That's very surprising if true.
The whole forum's supposed to be about support, but this thread is about making people feel less unpopular, I guess.

I think that even if one doesn't ever feel like they fit in somewhere (and don't write that one off completely either), they'll still find other individuals who they can relate to and such. WP is a large forum, so the types of people you see here are rather diverse, within the autistic spectrum of course. But, don't let your experience be dampened by one or two individuals who have an opinion, even though I don't agree with the examples you gave either.

Well, the only thing I can say at this moment is if reading Dante's Inferno equates as literature then, I'm doing something wise..

I really do think that Awesomeautist's fangs are more than adequate qualification for membership in the 'Unpopular' thread.

Welcome, Pennywise, to use your real name!

Greetings, Professor!

Which book?

What artwork?

Who is the artist?

Have you ever admired the work of Maxfield Parrish?

Or NC Wyeth?

The book of which I was previously referring to is called,"Faeries" by Brian Froud which has some great drawings,sketches,artwork,etc.. Yes, I've heard of Maxfield Parrish.

Dear Professor,

Brian Froud is one of my absolute favorites!

He wrote/illustrated a 'double book' called 'Good Faeries/Bad Faeries'.....tho different books, back to back and upside down, hard to describe, but wonderful!
