Wiki not 100% reliable ?????????

I do believe the damp weather has gotten the best of yer judgement, old chap!! !! !!

Since the Wiki had an article about the history of the Swedish counties, and it turned out to be wrong, I'm sceptical about it.

The most reliable Wiki is probably the German one, that's my experience.

There are 10 times more germs in a mouth with freshly brushed teeth than on a freshly washed penis. And they are more vile.

The very different flavour in American vs Scotch whiskies depends on partly that American whiskies are made out of either maize or rye or a mixture of maize, rye and corn, never pure corn, while Scotch is always made of pure corn, and partly that American whiskey barrels are only used once, so that the liquor gets a very strong taste from the barrel, while Scotch barrels actually (mostly) are American barrels that have been used again and again, so that the whisky only absorbs a small hint of taste from the barrel. It also depends on the fact that American whiskey is never peated, so that it tastes sweet and fruity and sharp at the same time.

The metric system was invented by the French during the revolution 1789. One meter is the distance from the geographical south pole to the geographical north pole, drawn through the observatory in Paris and divided with 40000. The French sent an expedition to northern Sweden in the 1790s to measure the distances above the arctic circle.

There is a standard "meter" locked in a vault in Paris, though it's some micrometers to short.
