WARNING you've found my special interest.

I'm in the process of rewriting my novel at the moment, murder mystery set in 1920, most of it takes place in Lincolnshire. My plan is for it to be the first in a series of 15-25 spanning 1920 - 1939.

I'm still aiming at traditional publishing, but I may change my mind about that because the busness is changing all the time.

Yeah....I'm a little jealous myself.

Fluffy probably has a more nuanced view of things than I do.

I am too much desirous of the "straight and narrow" to become a decent writer. I try to avoid discord too much.
To keep interest when writing the hero must constantly be frustrated in his efforts to do what he needs to do, this is called conflict. Usually the conflict is provided by other people. I don't like discord either so I go for a different approach such as misunderstandings or a lack of ability rather than an argument or people being pointlessly unpleasant.
I find it really annoying how whenever the police in a drama question anyone, they lie and are argumentative with them. I recognise this is for the sake of conflict but I doubt that's how most people treat the police.

I hope you do write those books because when I find a good series and it ends too soon I feel cheated - cheated I tell you.

It is so difficult for me to find a decent dragon book and when I do they are gone in no time.

Would you believe my library has only ONE Terry Pratchett book? How rude.

I thought you meant your own library at first, YOUR PUBLIC LIBRARY! 8O That's pathetic.

^My local library would be shut if it weren't for volunteers and reduced hours.
They are closed 3 days and do half days when open.

I will have to go into town and see what books they have there.

That's really sucky.

Does your library redeem itself by offering a nice atmosphere?

No idea but I am going to attempt to make some using bread instead of pastry.

I want to experiment with brown bread as an alternative to pastry because I usually feel bad after eating pies.

I have a breville toastie maker somewhere in a cupboard - I think that would work.

Not at my branch, it's medium size, I don't shop online. If I know somewhere does them I'll know when I'm near a big shop to look out for them.
