People who attack the messenger when they cannot refute the message.

I swore I did another pet peeve in this thread and now it's gone, this is another pet peeve of mine, seeming to make posts and then can't find them and then I wonder if I ever posted it or imagined it. Mine was people who are laws are laws freaks and I ran into one of these idiots again on reddit.

A big pet peeve of mine is animal cruelty. There's no need for it. Animals are Sweet Peas.

When your upstairs neighbours stomp around the apartment at 3am.

When your upstairs neighbours make weird noises that sound like some very boney, tall person is rolling around on the floor and trying to get up without using their arms for balance.

When your upstairs neighbours have all hardwood floors, that they like to sweep about 3 times a day, using a stiff broom that bangs on all the furniture and the skirting boards as they're doing it.

When your upstairs neighbours seem totally oblivious to how much noise they're making, but your boyfriend won't let you bang on the ceiling with a broom to give them the message how noisy they are.

People who keep saying oh you will find another job! When i get fired.

Here is an idea: I might not and if i don't find it its not the end of the world. But when you keep insisting on it it makes me feel that i need a job in order to not feel worthless.

.

This passive aggressive nonsense. How does this tell people the message? All they will hear is random pounding and it could be you pounding in a photo frame or you doing something else and how would you know who this is directed at?

I lived in an apartment and would hear pounding randomly and I would just be sitting and I had no idea then what the pounding was and I thought it was just neighbors doing something.

Passive aggressive is another pet peeve of mine. This isn't going to work if people are not aware, especially for aspies.

Well I'm not exactly going to be banging a picture to the wall at 1am.
It's actually worked before, one night at 11pm when I was trying to watch a movie (the TV wasn't loud) and all they were doing above was thump, bang, crash, stomp, etc, so I got the broom handle and gave it a good banging on the ceiling. The noises stopped after that.

Pet peeves:

1. Websites that move around too much. You go to a site, wait for it to stop moving about. Then you click on something only to find you've clicked on something you didn't want to.
2. People on TV not closing the curtains, especially in historical dramas. You need to keep the heat in and stop psychos seeing where you are. Lots of TV crimes could be prevented if people just closed their curtains.
3. Those loops to hang your clothes up put in inappropriate clothes e.g. t-shirts. Who hangs their t-shirts up by the neck?
4. Clothing websites that don't tell you how long skirts and trousers are. I've tried to tell the companies but they just say 'all the information is on the page.' It's not.

And another thing. When I went for a covid vaccination in a little pharmacy, there was this man in the queue and he was holding a meeting on his phone. He was ignoring everyone in the room, and talking loudly on the phone about sales figures and marketing strategies etc. So rude! Why didn't he just say: I can't be at the meeting, I have a covid vaccination. I hope he put them on hold while he got his injection, people went to a lot of effort to arrange the vaccinations.

Gifts given to me without regard to my sizes, my likes and dislikes, and whether or not I even want the gift.  Sure, I do like receiving gifts, and "It's the thought that counts", but they should put a little more thought into their gift-giving.

Reminds me of the things my stepmother used to get me. It was as though she went into a shop blindfolded, span round and just picked the first thing that fell into her hand. I would rather had a couple of quid than something I just couldn't use or didn't want.

I mean I suppose it was a bit of an adventure to see what was behind the paper and copious amount of sellotape she would use to wrap it all up. Plus it was also a good lesson in feigning surprise, joy and gratitude. I'm glad for small mercies.

When people press the traffic light button at the crossing on a busy road, and it's obvious that you've already pressed it first because the "wait" light is lit up on both sides. Yes I know it's force of habit with some people but I'm talking about people who stand there for a few seconds then press the button. I don't know why but it just bugs me. Usually if I see people waiting at the other side of the crossing and the little "wait" light is lit, it's obvious that they have pressed the button first so I feel it's a sign of respect to not press the button again.

Maybe people just like pressing the button. I know that the buttons on crossing never get disinfected and probably has all sorts of germs that are worse than covid breeding on, so I prefer not to press it if there are others that have pressed it first.

^I never press the button. I actually always wait and let others catch Covid and other germs.

My pet peeve: People that leave dried sweat and some curly hair on the toilet seat.
