The new conveyor system at work is running now, and trying to get the rest of my department to cooperate and do things properly so the barcodes will scan is so frustrating. No one listens to me if I try to correct them. I'm at a point where I'm just doing the bare minimum at work and ignoring what other people do. If they want to half-ass things and get yelled at by other departments they can. Other people already know I was trying to get my coworkers to cooperate and that I'm doing stuff right, so it's not my problem.

That's a good approach. You've done your responsibilities and then some, you can't force others to do things right.

I think most of us remember that that party wouldn't hesitate to put you on a cattle car too, which would probably change where your sympathies lie to actually experience.

Based on your Sweet Pea nature, I'm not sure you're as close to being one of them as you perceive yourself to be. They're pretty objectively the bad guys, not sweet peas. Lots of mostly decent people helped that party do their deeds, and a lot of those people spent the post-war period with a whole lotta guilt over what they chose to support.

You don't seem like the sort of person who wants people to be hurt for who they are or what they believe.
You certainly don't seem like you'd want yourself hurt over who you are.

You seem like you'd feel terribly guilty if your actions contributed to wide-scale atrocities of the sort that party is known for, supposing you didn't end up a victim of those atrocities, because the average member of that party would not see trans people as potential party members.

That party is mostly known for hurting and killing people for who they were and what they believed, including people just like you.

With that in mind, even if you're cosplaying as a member of that party, a lot of people who know you would question if it's actually what you believe, if only because that party wouldn't accept you. It comes off a bit like Clayton Bigsby.

True. It's just really frustrating because sometimes I feel like I'm the only one who tries to listen or cooperate with anyone. It affects other departments and gets us in trouble a lot. My manager still refuses to intervene and ask anyone to behave though, even with all of the arguing that goes on in my department, which is more frustrating.

I've been thinking about turning one of my extra bedrooms into a sensory space for myself. I thought about simply transforming my living room into a giant space like that, but then it occurred to me that I do have people here sometimes and they might want a chair or couch to sit on and not a giant basket filled with pillows. I think I'll just go with a bedroom I'm not using. Not sure what all I'll do with the space but I want to start with making a ton of pillows, and hanging fabric from the ceiling and walls...maybe make a big ole tent in a corner with some strung lights or something. I might paint one wall and make boxes of sorts on it...like picture frames with different things inside that put a smile on my head. Not sure about all the details, but I have time. It'll get worked out. Should be a fun project.

YES! We need to live together! That's my aesthetic 100%!
Do you happen to like deep snow, or cutting grass? Things could be arranged to suit your liking.
I'm a pillow fort queen myself.
I want to retrofit my entire basement into a boho hippy fort with tapestries and cushions.
I don't do regular lighting anywhere in the house, but always string lights.
It's getting hard to find good ones now that everything is LED.

I may need pictures, so keep us updated!

On my mind: I really want a new doorbell. A new noise. I'm really triggered by the noise on mine. I've heard it's quite difficult to change the whole thing even if it's done by a professional but I don't understand why. Maybe I'll just fashion a pillow over my indoor dinging box so I can muffle the sound?

I'm getting my liver examined tomorrow. Dinner won't be ready 'til 9. I'm fasting after 7:30. I'm making my own meal.

There's nothing like despising your job so much that you get over your fear of driving just so you can get your license and get a different f*****g job. I literally would rather risk getting in a car accident and dying than work there any longer. All thanks to my sh***y managers and coworkers.

Intentionally reading something "wrong" or pronouncing a word wildly "off"

as I saw "getting daughter diagnosed" and just for the hell of it read it as "receiving a 'daughter' diagnosis" which then lead me to remember how a person I used to know would see a "Loose Gravel" warning sign, and say "Lou's gravel"

This made me lol. Can we start saying this when a doctor sexes someone's baby? "Yeah, my baby received a daughter/son diagnosis."

I got my earmuffs.

Not for noise, but for cold.

I wanna know the 'minimum' areas I need to actually warm up and kept dry aside from my nose, without ending up in a sneeze fest since a facemask isn't enough.

If earmuffs alone doesn't work, I'll work my way up by adding a scarf and warming my neck... Which I had never tried myself before.
