I think it's barbaric---but I wonder if it serves as a deterrent for at least some people who have some crazy desire to murder or rape somebody.

What was your first video game/anime/manga and how did it affect you?

It was actually "Speed Racer," though it wasn't called "anime" back then, and I thought of it as just another "regular" cartoon.

I liked everything about it. The Mach 5, etc. The Mach 5 was the car that Speed Racer raced to victory! He was cool to me as a young kid.


Do you feel Bugs Bunny, even though most of his cartoons were from the 40's and 50's, is still relevant today?

Absolutely! I love Looney Toons. My favorite was always the Barber of Seville episode. It was also one of my earliest experiences with classical music which I still love.

One of my first experiences with romance was when Bugs Bunny courted the lady bunny in a 1948 cartoon.

At the end, Bugs thought he was chasing her, but he was really chasing the fake "rabbit" which the dogs were chasing in the midst of a dog race.

He tried to prevent the fake rabbit from continuing on its path--so he got electrocuted. Bugs went wild, thinking, Wow! She really does love me! LOL.

Love Alfred Hitchcock movies. That one about those 2 guys in a apartment who kill someone and hide the body in a trunk is brilliant...
