It is a slice of life I don't see. I just drive from home to work and back again. I think, to some extent, it is a little based on writings on WP by some who are or have been homeless. I think the couple that started a magazine represent politicians.

Yeah, I was glad to wake up from that one.

at least you don't have to live that life, something to be thankful for. :) that is a trenchant dream metaphor for politicians.

I'm deeply grateful I have never been homeless but you never know what could come up.

I also think my being camped at the end of the road relates to my advanced age and that I am "at the end of the road".

you and me both. you are female though and females tend to live longer than males. so although I'm a bit younger than you it will even out at the end, methinks.

i dreamt i was a civil service employee at a local air force base, i was looking out the window and saw a sharp bright circle of light appear in the sky, then it multiplied into several lights which started rotating into a single powerful blur of light which then went behind a building, then giant UFOs showed up, shaped like medieval castles but more aerodynamic, they hovered in mid-air. i gestured "PSST!" at my gossiping coworkers, beckoning them to come have a look but they were too interested in scuttlebutt gossip around the water cooler, so i yelled "GAWDDAMMIT THERE ARE @#$%?! UFOS IN THE @#$%&?! SKY, GET YOUR ASSES OVER HERE AND LOOK FOR CHRIST'S SAKE!" which brought them over. we all walked outside and saw a fight develop in the sky, one of the UFOs blew up with a bright white flash of light and a huge shuddering "BOOOOOMMMM!! !" and i looked around for shelter from the shrapnel flying all over, then i awoke.

I had a horrible dream this morning.

My sister's pink-and-white pet bird (different from the RL one) got out of the cage and then out of the window. My sister quickly tried to catch it but it flew too high. Then this big carnivorous bird suddenly appeared, caught my sister's bird and then was gone.

I dreamed I was in a huge sealed off sewer complex again. I was myself but with a group of fictional dream characters. We were being chased by the creature from The Thing or something very similar to it. The earliest part I can remember is we were all crawling in a confined sewer pipe to escape it, it wasn't doing the usual hide and seek tactic because we had no weapons so it was on a murder rampage. We got out, but the last person got what I can only describe as crunched from behind while getting out and got dragged down to a lower section, which we could see for some reason, I think we looked down some really narrow pipes. It had some kind of weird environmental complex down there in a series of pipes. I dragged him through it's digestive juices and ripped him to shreds. It wasn't pleasant to watch. It then resumed it's chase of us. we were in a huge underground vault and their was a massive tiered scaffolding in the center. We split off from each other, me and another guy climbed further up the scaffolding while I think two or three others went another way. The guy who went with me was slightly overweight, had on thick black rimmed glasses, and had dark short hair. It followed us. We reached the top and it was almost on us, I decided to double back down on the back side of the scaffolding by dropping down layers on the even back side of it. We got down but it still pursued us. We split up, I think it followed the other guy, I managed to double back and went the direction of the others, it involved crawling through some strangle green plastic tubes, I woke up at that point and decided not to try to fall asleep to finish it.

Something about a major explosion and the thought of 'f***, too late' in reference in no time to take cover or do anything at all as the explosion continued my way from the large area I just watched it obliterate. I guess it wasn't so much weird as scary, but its the last dream I really distinctly remember.

VERY interesting that we both dreamed of this at the same time! :o

Feyokien, your dream is pretty much like a part from Stephen King's 'IT', have you read that?

I've been writing a dream diary for 2 years now. It has 14 pages. I look forward to being 30, 40 or 70 and being able to read about all my dreams.

I dreamed about the Walking Dead, last night. At one point, I noticed I had developed this huge cyst on the middle finger of my right hand. Rick Grimes was nice enough to cut if with a knife -- left a hideous wound!

Also, there was this very attractive, nice young woman who took a liking to me. She offered to cut my hair, and I accepted. I got massacred! Now I realize there are greater concerns during a zombie apocalypse than what your hair looks like...but damn! This was a hideous cut!

I've seen the film, if that counts lol. Most of my nightmares involve a subterranean setting.
