I'm not entirely sure of my status on the forum with this regard, so I'm curious. XD
Do realize that this thread is for people that feel unpopular, not for people that are considered unpopular. Surprisingly enough most of the people that post here seem to be most liked people around WP, I don't know what's up with that. That includes you as well. :P

If I recall correctly Equest has already explained this once in the "Clean chatroom". Give me a moment, I shall find the page and put the link here!

Good to see this thread is still alive.

Hey everyone! :D

Well, I think that's up for interpretation, the title suggests that both parties are welcome.

Oh yes, I saw that. I don't see that much in the way of being ignored going on around here, though

Hey there Kjas, how are you doing?

Hi Ten!

Hi Andras!

Hi Kjas!

Thanks for the welcome. I find this whole idea of popularity on here interesting. I only PM with one person on here and I think it came from the thread about PMing someone you don't know. Other than that my inbox is always empty. Occasionally people will post back to me in a thread but that's it.

Making friends IRL is already shaky ground for me and I don't think I have ever had a friend who knew the real me but I am clueless about making friends or understanding the hierarchy on this forum. Thus, I was happy to have stumbled onto this thread.

I was going to say I'm surprised I didn't PM you Nymeria, because I respond to a lot of people on the PM thread, but then I see you posted it in June last year, I probably wasn't around regularly at that time. lol

Hey Ten!
Long time no see.

Nym: I do have people PM me here, although it was slow to start when I was new. To be honest, some of the people I am friends on with here probably get me better than my friends IRL because they can actually relate and empathize - and also because they are just awesome. I'd say WP can be well worth it from that perspective.

Apart from PMing, the concept of popularity itself also eludes me, even on WP.

I can certainly relate to what you are saying here. The problem with being high functioning is that, while some Aspies can think you doing well, because you manage to hold down a job and a relationship, they don't see the effort that goes into it. I am lucky to have a great boss, but I still have major conflicts because I just don't understand some NT stuff. Even though I manage to function in society, it drains me hugely and I still have to go home after a day of dealing with people and hide under the duvet to calm myself down again.

I also stick mainly to the Random and Off the Wall forums, because it is less stressful for me. I might pop into the Haven and other places occasionally, but more than that just wears me down, and I have to look after myself first. It's the same reason that, although I will sometimes read in depth and thought provoking books, most of the time I just stick to children's books because it is more relaxing for me. :)

Agreed. Most of the time I'm here, I'm in the mood for relaxing. Even when I'm serious, I can think about things that are irrelevant to my surroundings, and communicate my irrelevant thoughts. Because of this, I generally post in places where one can post respectably without strictly adhering to a topic.

Occasionally, I'll post elsewhere. However, I've posted primarily in Off The Wall and here from the very start.

(^^I started posting elsewhere/"serious" places after I posted that, it sort of inspired me, haha. Back to my normal posts.)

You're fun here too, Moomin; it's great to see you in Off the Wall when I'm up late. :D
