More medical cannabis oil.
How do you manage that? My doc (regular GP) refuses altogether. Won't even talk about it.
I go to a medical cannabis clinic that has doctors who prescribe medication cannabis prescriptions. To find a clinic near you use this resource.
https://lift.co/clinics Most clinics you can self refer, you just need a copy of your medical documents showing documentation of the illness you wish to treat. You don't need your GP's blessing whatsoever. They are by law required to hand over your medical documents within 60 days of you submitting a request in writing to their office. Usually they charge like $50.
You can still see if your GP will refer you to one of the clinics on this list. My GP supports my medical cannabis use and referred me to Bodysteam in Hamilton when I asked him to do it. He just wouldn't prescribe it himself because it was beyond his scope of practice. Only like 5% of doctors in Canada prescribe medical cannabis, that's where these specialized clinics come in. They are where most Canadians get their medical cannabis prescriptions from. In Ontario the clinic is covered by medicare so the appointment is free. If you manage to get a referral, you should be able to avoid the $50 fee to get a copy of your medical records sent to the clinic.
Having a medical cannabis prescription allows you to claim it as a tax deduction, if you're poor you can also get compassionate pricing at many Licensed producers and many producers also absorb the sin taxes for their medical patients. You also have to ability to choose any of the medical cannabis producers across the country where as the recreational market is limited to whatever producers your province has signed a contract with. I would go with Aurora or Aphria when you get a prescription and it comes time to choose. It sounds complicated, but it really isn't. Any questions just PM me.
