I was just on Amazon looking at advent calendars and I saw this one where every day you get a little plastic soldier, or a piece of artillery, or a weapon of some sort.

So by Christmas day you've got a little army and I guess you can stage a little pretend war.

Just like Jesus would have wanted.

We live in a really strange world.

We tried a meet n greet with our two dogs and a potential third dog we were hoping to adopt. It didn't go well. It's a shame because that dog and Missy were both hounds. It almost seemed like they would get along. Now we're thinking of trying a smaller dog breed.

I've been acting younger since I've discovered old favourites from the 80s.

I'm not sure if I should cancel on my daughter today or not. She's supposed to be driving in from out of town to wrap up some packages she had delivered here. I'm on the fence, because I'm not sure if I'm contagious or not and on the off chance I am, I don't want to make her sick. Eh, I'll text her and let her decide.

My medication seems to have hit me really hard today. I’ve walked into the doorframe twice and tripped over my words a lot more. I think I should go back to bed.

I chose Oppenheimer when they both got released at the same time.

I like children.
In a sense that I want to play with them.

Not 'parent' them. Or 'teach' them.
Not the right words for it; more like establish myself as some sort of authority figure.

I'm sure I'm a bad influence enough to teach them to hate humanity.


I'll run around with them and make silly stuff.
But make them sit down and comply? Unless it's for actual safety reasons, then hell no.

Sure I wouldn't risk them like any clumsy friend and answer endless questions.
But 'because I said so'??? 'Because I'm older'??? 'Eff that.


So yeah.
School teacher and anything associated with that (behavioral management) is out of the question for me.

Baby sitting or watching, maybe, if the parents aren't so strict with their needs or that it's redundant for me to be there.


Motherhood itself though?
I'm certain it will not be the same because there will be different emotions involving that -- and the obligation.

Because knowing me, this also meant I won't be the type who would hire a nanny or entrust my own child with anyone; until they themselves can handle themselves.
