I envy anyone that is able to take naps (which is like 99.9% of the world population?). It always takes me at least an hour to fall asleep. It kinda destroys the point of napping as they aren't supposed to take long. My mind just can't take a rest!

I thought I couldn't until recently. I lie on my bed at any time of day, take my glasses off and I'll sleep a little.

aaahhhh... it would be so nice to be able to just lay down and fall asleep.

I used to have pretty visible dark circles under my eyes when I was young. It somehow disappeared when I got older. I still only get about 4 - 7 hours a sleep a day. I'm simply not capable of sleeping any longer than 9 hours unless I'm veeeery sick.

Aww poor you!
I worked very hard on a project from September-November and lost a lot of sleep and sometimes worked on it 12 hours per day or more. Aside from mental issues shortly after it all finished, I also noticed the emergence of dark patches beneath my eyes, which don't appear to have faded despite good sleep since December.

Wow! And I thought I had it bad with my job. I worked 19 days in a row in January (busiest month of the year) but that's peanuts compared to what you did.

Hmm.. strange. Maybe it needs a while to disappear?

Yeah it was pretty big, 8 hours of video content it was. I started work in the first week of September and finished December 1st. Not all days were 12+ hours long though, most were around 4 or 5 but rest days were scarce!
In the end I only did 3/4 of the intended amount, too. The final quarter is scheduled for next month...

Er, anyway, now that everyone has been bored by my work pattern ramblings...:P
Well, yesterday they seemed much less obvious, though reverted again today, so I dunno. It may also be something to do with my lack of energy and the eating problems I've always had.

I thought it was quite interesting actually.

Ah yes, eating problems. The lack of certain nutrients can cause this apparently.
