I don't really read books that much but when I was in 5-6th grade, I was obsessed with superheroes, so I would say that my favorite book was Spider-man:Duel To The Death, it was a comic about him facing "The Vulture", the artwork was pretty good too.

Do your current obsessions revolve around a certain type of genre? (meaning revolve around fiction or music?)

in some ways yes, like science fiction or world music as examples.
