These thoughts are definitely me just spiraling late at night over bad news I wish I read when waking up and not before bed, but I'm thinking about leaving Berlin for a while. I love Berlin, but the situation for me just isn't working right now; The language barrier is just a big factor when looking for work, my financial situation is very bad for me to do anything right now, and all of my skills that got me work in other countries don't work here because Germans just aren't very digital here unless they're into crypto.
It's making me very miserable as I'm working an unfulfilling job for pennies almost every single day.
It's been nearly there years worth of trial and error regarding getting settled in Berlin with a proper place and job and I am so tired of trying to pursue something that's out of reach. I'd rather be living in a country like Belgium, Australia, or maybe even the UK where I do speak the language and actually have the opportunity to do joba I'm passionate about while making more money, too. Then I can also focus on my music project that I'm actually passionate about and return to Berlin with proper finances and ideally do music related work rather than being constantly occupied with pulling dead horses.(That's what I do for a living, I wish I did because it sounds much more fun)
Gonna consider looking at other options, Berlin is not working for me right now and I'd rather spend six months at a place I can actually get my life together to return in a better state.
It sounds like you have made a good, preliminary decision to leave Berlin.
If you're not happy with living there and there are no job prospects that are appealing, it might be a good time to move on to greener pastures.
