Yeah, just the one end, or you can do it at various intervals down the stick. I find it just allows the small stoves to work more reliably without needing anything other than the sticks to keep it going. They catch fire far more easily for obvious reasons. So, I just keep on putting them in one at a time until there's enough heat to sustain it all. I'm a fan of the little fireboxes for cooking, as it's safer than making a natural fire (especially around here or anywhere with similar weather conditions).

Thanks for reminding me about Mother's Day there, lostonearth35. I always forget that, but mostly because she's not a fan for her own reasons, and I try to think of something thoughtful there.

Groceries (early).

That's better. Zombie Dill doing zombie Dill things. Thought of something thoughtful, so that's good.

Phone calls. Helped out a new worker at the chemist with medication names; I'm noticing a lot of places are hiring new and younger staff that need to build up their experience, and they tend to make errors, but that's alright, we all do, and it's my fault I can meltdown over those things when on the phone (quietly meltdown that is). Somehow managed to get someone outside of WP to call me Dill, even though I've never used that anywhere but here. Lol. It's nice when someone worries about you, I guess, though I'm not a fan (burden things). Went for a "small" walk. Cleaned up the rest of the devil creeper and moved its remnants out of sight. Finally got my Delica with its purple scales back to hair whittling sharp via stropping on cardboard with green compound; I'm not really one to do that, but it's fun to see a knife tree top hairs. Of course, it loses it fairly quickly with any real use, especially the VG-10 on the Delica.

Managed to wake up with minimal pain… and got me some coffee made. Brain seems slow to come online today.

I entered several online contests again - now it's as many as exactly 35 such contests that I'm impatiently awaiting seeing their results announced

I took the day off! Yay! Puttered around without any particular goals. This is an achievement for me.

Operation Keep a Couple Together under Task Force We Weren't Panicking We Swear, appears to have been a success. Won't talk about that one as family matters, but...we did it. We did it.

Cleaned out the gutters, because the usual leaves, water tank filter getting blocked by the same and all that, as rain is apparently on its way (again, again and again).

Went grocery shopping yesterday and bought a bunch of stuff I've never eaten before. Today I have to make sauerkraut.

Dentist. Again.

I slept for six hours last night and haven't had to nap today.

Managed to try to rest and recover from ….. days of exertion .
