Velma looks like a female version of Austin Powers.

I'm at my parents place for the first time since Christmas. So far, so good. Nothing's gone wrong yet. I haven't screwed up yet. I left all my German stuff at home. Less of a chance that things will go wrong.

Thinking of a hot emo guy I saw when I went out for a walk.
Quite rare to see others that have my style/look in 2024.

What is the best way to remind myself and make it into a habit?

I've come to the conclusion that I've got to create my own sunshine. I saw a floral coffee mug downstairs. so I decided to claim it. It's got something that my eyes have yet to see this year. Flowers. The mug is also made in England, Om Nom's home country. That peaspires me to be a Sweet Pea. I usually see flowers in bloom for the first time on the 3rd week of February. Not this year. It's been too dark and cold for that. I'm listening to old songs about the sun. Hopefully that could peaspire me as well. To be peaspired is to be inspired to be a Sweet Pea like Om Nom.

On the other hand, I could be losing it.

I wonder if I would be talking this way if I didn't have to leave my German stuff at home for 7 days. Those 7 days are long over. Now I'm listening to Sunny Girlfriend by The Monkees. I've started out with Good Day Sunshine by The Beatles. Lonely Days by The Bee Gees was sandwiched in between the other two songs. Good morning, Mr. Sunshine. You sure are looking good. You get the jest. I think I'll listen to one of my favourite old German songs and trust that spring will come in it's own time.

If I wake up tomorrow morning and I see snow on the ground, I'm going to have a fit. I'll be having kittens.

I'm going to have to manually fix spelling errors in the autogenerated transcription of The Picture of Dorian Gray from the Latin alphabet to the Shavian...

This guy was fat and all that. He was and is still very popular. I'm going to find a way to be all that. I like him and a lot of other people do as well.

I am a little lost. How did we get onto the subject of Dorian Gray?

“There is no such thing as a moral or an immoral book,” wrote Oscar Wilde in the preface to the 1891 edition of The Picture of Dorian Gray. “Books are well written, or badly written. That is all.”

Apparently there were three editions of this book published. One of these may have been X Rated at the time.

According to Nicholas Frankel, editor of The Picture of Dorian Gray: An Annotated, Uncensored Edition:

When Wilde’s typescript of the novel arrived on [editor J.M.] Stoddart’s desk, he quickly determined that it contained “a number of things which an innocent woman would make an exception to,” as he explained to Craige Lippincott, while assuring his employer that The Picture of Dorian Gray would “not go into the Magazine unless it is proper that it shall.” He further guaranteed Lippincott that he would edit the novel to “make it acceptable to the most fastidious taste.”

I feel this compulsive need to be working on things. It's almost like a stim. The less things go my way, the stronger this need hits me.

The question posed in this thread is “what’s on your mind right now?” That was the answer at that time.
