I think that internet crushes are about 1/10th as real as real life crushes. Having a crush on someone who lives more than 1000 miles away also diminishes that crush to about 1/10 of the original 1/10th. So anyone I have a crush on here is about 1/100th as real of a crush as I could have on someone in real life. :P

So the strength of a crush is equal to the force of attraction divided by a tenth of the distance in miles?

In other words, c=a/0.1d?

I think you might be on to something here.

That would be cool, but you can't just assume that a=1/10th...there would have to be another equation to determine a based on many factors of the online crushing.

You have a point. If one is perceived to have an attraction of, say, 60 units and lives 3,000 miles away, that would put the crush at 0.2, or 20%. If one were to witness an attraction to someone only mildly, at around 10 units, but who is within a range of 10ft or so, the crush would be at 52,801, or 5,280,110%. A logarithmic way of calculating this would be better.

Would you rather I use trigonometry to explain this phenomenon you have explained?

8O That's too much knowledge right there for me. Apologize to my brain!

You only live once.. I mean unless it's 44 year old Grisha, I don't think anyone will judge you ;)

Makayla, I think you'll be fine. He really won't mind. :) Maybe wait a little longer if you are unsure...but I reiterate that point: you only got one life. Haha, it's embarrassing sometimes...but so long as you say it's just a little crush or a light-hearted one...I think they'll just take it as a compliment.

Took me 2 months to tell my crush I liked her, even if she didn't I realized there was no harm done, now that I'm 21 I think of the crushes I did have in high/middle school I never told.. man I suck. :P

In any case, wrong planet is much different than high school.

I've never told someone irl that I had a crush on them. 8O

But for Trigas, I don't even think I started out saying I had a crush on him, I started out flirting and I'm not gonna say much more than that. Had I said anything in high school though, haha, that would have been disaster. Actually, I kind of did sorta say I had a crush and it ended up ruining a friendship (but it didn't put it bluntly :? )

It is! Sooooooooo much different! I like wp 100X more than high school! :P

Sometimes I look back and think of the ones I did have in high school and think, what if I did say something? I mean it could've ended up in disaster. In any case I don't miss high school at all.

It took me 2 months of talking to this girl until I was certain she liked me until I told her :? I guess I'm just very autistic.

You are more than free to tell whatever you feel comfortable telling.
Having said that you never know whats going to happen. I made a post in a thread similar to this a while ago(someone mentioned me and I figured I should at least tell them I was flattered) and while I was at it I mentioned my crush. An hour later I was having second thoughts and I tried to delete my message but she had already replied politely so deleting/editing it would have been pointless.

A couple of days afterwards she sent me a message asking if I was just messing around and one way or another we have been exchanging messages for about a year.
